Certified in prenatal and labor massage
Prenatal massage sessions are usually 1 hour or 1 hour 15 min allowing for a 15 min “power nap”
afterwards. Women are first in a semi-reclining position, then lying on their
left side—I do not use the “Prego Pillow” or any other table bolsters to put
women in the prone position. The focus of the massage is not only relaxation,
but also relieving lower back discomfort, easing sciatic and round ligament
pain, releasing tension in the hip region, and reducing edema by improving
circulation all of which help prepare a woman’s body for the rigors of
childbirth (besides just feeling REALLY good!). Labor massage instruction for
birth partners is also offered.
Labor Massage Instruction
Hands-on approach that helps alleviate pain and allows birth partners to assist in the labor process
Massage for Women
Excellent for easing tension in the body, pain relief, overall relaxation, and general well-being...massage is not a luxury, but an enjoyable necessity!
